While sites like Titan Poker and PokerStars have their big tournament series once or twice per year, Full Tilt Poker runs its Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) quarterly. Coming off a tremendously successful FTOPS XIII and MiniFTOPS XIII, Full Tilt Poker has posted that FTOPS XIV is coming November 4th through 15th. FTOPS originally debuted in August of 2006 with eight events and a $1 million total prize pool. This November, FTOPS XIV will consist of 25 events with a total guaranteed prize pool worth more than $16 million.
All players who compete in any FTOPS XIV event and make it to the final table have a few bonuses waiting for them beyond a huge payout. Everyone at a final table will win a swanky limited-edition FTOPS jacket along with a gold FTOPS jersey. To match that golden FTOPS football jersey will be a posh golden avatar for use on Full Tilt Poker. Also, the player who finishes first on the FTOPS XIV leaderboard will win a custom Full Tilt Poker avatar and exclusive prize package that includes entry into every FTOPS XV event (except the Two-Day tournament). This prize package has an estimated value of $7,500.
There is also a FTOPS XIV Satellite Challenge that can mean big bucks to players taking to the felts in satellite qualifiers. For players who win entry into any FTOPS XIV event, Full Tilt Poker will automatically register them. For every additional satellite you win to that same event, the site will credit your account with T$ equal to the tournament entry. If you win more event entries than anyone else, you will get the T$ equivalent of two buy-ins. If you finish in second place in any of the FTOPS XIV Satellite Challenges, you get the T$ equivalent of one tournament buy-in. Satellites are already running.
The first event of FTOPS XIV will take place on November 4th at 21:00 ET and is a $200+$16 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max tournament. The guaranteed prize pool is $1 million, with the event historically going well beyond that figure. The next two events take place on November 5th, with Event #3, a $500+$35 No Limit Hold’em 3x Shootout, kicking off at 21:00 ET.
There are two events on November 6th that are sure to be hotly contested. The first one is Event #4 at 14:00 ET, a $200+$16 No Limit Hold’em Cubed tournament with a prize pool of $600,000. The second event of the day is Event #5 at 21:00 ET, a $200+$16 Stud/8 tournament with a $100,000 prize pool.
Saturday, November 7th will have two events, starting with Event #6, a $500+$35 Pot Limit Omaha Six-Max tournament with a $350,000 guarantee. Starting two hours later is Event #7, a $100+$9 No Limit Hold’em Rebuy that boasts a $600,000 prize pool.
The next day features three FTOPS events, kicking off with Event #8, a $240+$16 No Limit Hold’em Knockout Six-Max tournament featuring an $800,000 prize pool. At 16:00 ET, Event #9, a $500+$35 No Limit Hold’em Heads-Up competition, will take place for a half-million dollar prize pool. Sunday wraps up with Event #10, which is the $300+$22 No Limit Hold’em extravaganza with a $1.5 million prize pool.
The first event on Monday, November 9th will start at 14:00 ET, a $200+$16 Pot Limit Omaha Eight or Better High/Low tournament that features a $200,000 guarantee. The day finishes with Event #12 at 21:00 ET, a $1,000+$60 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max tournament with a whopping $1.5 million prize pool.
Event #13 takes place on Tuesday, November 10th and is a $300+$22 No Limit Hold’em 4x Shootout Six-Max tournament with a $300,000 guarantee. The same day at 21:00ET is the first Mixed Game tournament of the series, a $500+$35 HORSE event with a $300,000 prize pool. At the same time, Event #15 will take place, a $200+$16 No Limit Hold’em Turbo tournament with a half-million dollar prize pool.
Wednesday, November 11th has two tournaments scheduled, starting at 14:00 ET with a $240+$16 Pot Limit Omaha Knockout sporting a $200,000 guarantee. Later that day at 21:00 ET is Event #17, a $300+$22 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max with Rebuys contest with a one million dollar prize pool.
The final weekend of FTOPS XIV will feature several huge events. On Friday, November 13th, the festivities start at 14:00 ET with a $200+$16 No Limit Hold’em event for $400,000 in prize money. At 21:00ET the same day will be Event #21, a $300+$22 Six-Max Razz tournament with a $150,000 guarantee.
On Saturday, November 14th, Event #22 will begin at 14:00 ET and will be the second largest guaranteed tournament in the entire series, boasting a $2 million prize pool. Players will be playing in a $2,500+$120 No Limit Hold’em Ante From the Start tournament, which will take place over two days. Two hours later, Event #23 will kick-off, a $100+$9 Pot Limit Omaha Rebuy with a $400,000 prize pool.
On the final day of FTOPS XIV, there are two events. The first begins at 14:00 ET and is a $120+$9 No Limit Hold’em Knockout tournament with a huge $800,000 guarantee. Finally, the FTOPS XIV Main Event will take place at 18:00 ET and is a $500+$35 No Limit Hold’em tournament. The Main Event will have the largest guarantee of any tournament at $2.5 million.
