Full Tilt Poker Hosting Holiday Promotions

Full Tilt Poker is the second largest online poker site in the world and has seen explosive growth in 2009.  Some industry experts, including those at PokerScout.com, have said that if the current trend continues, Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars will be on equal footing in terms of overall traffic by the end of 2010.

A new promotion that just kicked off at Full Tilt Poker is “The Big Little Tournament,” which lets players turn a small buy-in into a share of $1 million.  On the first four Sundays of January, players will battle for their share of $250,000 for just $5+$0.50.  Each of the four tournaments will start at 13:45 ET and have the following formats:

January 3rd: $250,000 Guaranteed No Limit Hold’em
January 10th: $250,000 Guaranteed Turbo No Limit Hold’em
January 17th: $250,000 Guaranteed No Limit Hold’em
January 24th: $250,000 Guaranteed Turbo No Limit Hold’em

Players can buy in directly to any of the Big Little Tournaments for $5.50 or they can satellite in for as little as $0.50 or 50 Full Tilt Points.  Sit and go satellites are running constantly and there are also daily multi-table tournaments.

Whenever you play at any real money games at Full Tilt Poker, you earn Full Tilt Points (FTPs), which can be redeemed for tournament entries or at the store.  Items in the store include clothing, electronic items like iPods and cameras, and other poker-related gifts.  Normally, Full Tilt Poker runs several two-hour blocks of time during the day called “Happy Hour,” where the rate of FTPs awarded is doubled.  For the holidays, the site is running a “3XMas Happy Hour,” where FTPs are not doubled, but rather tripled.  This allows for the accumulation of even more points for better rewards.

For you travelers who like to play poker in far off destinations, Full Tilt Poker is running ongoing satellites to the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event.  The prize package is worth $14,500, which includes a 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event seat, hotel accommodation, entry into an exclusive $50,000 freeroll, and money to use for travel expenses.  Prize package winners also get to participate in exclusive Full Tilt Poker activities during the event and receive instruction from Team Full Tilt pros.  There are a variety of qualifiers, including the $500+$35 deep stack on December 26th at 22:00 ET, with the same tournament repeating on January 2nd at 22:00 ET.

If you’ve ever dreamed of playing high-stakes tournament poker on television, Full Tilt is running World Poker Tour qualifiers to the L.A. Poker Classic and Bay 101 Shooting Star events.  Qualifiers are running until February 28th and award $12,000 prize packages.  Every Sunday at 16:30 ET, there will be a $500+$35 qualifier that will award at least two prize packages.  On Tuesdays at 21:00 ET, there will be a $300+$22 qualifier that guarantees at least one prize package.  Finally, every Thursday at 21:00 ET, there is a $1,000+$60 qualifier that awards two prize packages.  Players can buy-in directly to any of these events or get in through various satellites.  All players who participate will automatically be registered for a freeroll that will award one seat to the WPT Celebrity Invitational.  This freeroll will be held at 15:30 ET on Sunday, January 31st.
