If you’re looking for an excuse to play on PartyPoker, one of the industry’s oldest and most established online poker sites, then check out October’s Card Rush XL promotion. The Card Rush XL, which last ran in July, returns with 1.8 million prizes to be given away. You read that right, nearly two million prizes will be awarded to players on PartyPoker. The only way to win is by accruing Party Points starting October 1st.
You’ll receive your first card when you amass five Party Points. Once you’ve reached that threshold, head to your PartyPoker account page, scratch off the card, and see what you’ve won. It could be a cash prize, a freeroll entry, a Party Point boost, or Card Rush XL Leaderboard Points, all of which mean you’ll be handsomely awarded for playing online poker. Every card has a prize associated with it, so you’re guaranteed to win.
After your first card, you can earn additional cards by racking up 15 Party Points starting October 1st. The Card Rush XL promotion runs until October 31st or until all 1.8 million prizes have been given away, whichever comes first, so make sure to start playing as soon as possible. Cash prizes available include $1, $2, $3, $5, $10, $50, $250, and $5,000.
Eight freerolls will be held as part of the PartyPoker Card Rush XL promotion and come with prize pools of $2,000, $3,000, $5,000, $7,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000, and $25,000. They’ll be held between November 4th and 7th and together will dish out nearly $90,000 to PartyPoker players. The only way to win your way into a Card Rush XL freeroll is by scratching off cards.
Party Points will also be dished out. A Card Rush XL card could reveal 10, 20, 50, 100, 150, 250, 750, 5,000, or 25,000 Party Points. Finally, Card Rush Leaderboard Points will be given away as part of the 1.8 million prizes. These points will vault recipients up a special Card Rush Leaderboard that has a top prize of $9,000 in cash and the top 10 players will earn at least $1,000. The top 200 will bank $100 or more and every 20th spot from 220th to 2,000th pays out $50.
You must go into your PartyPoker account and virtually scratch the cards off in order to claim any prizes and you can receive up to 50 cards each day. You have until 24 hours after the Card Rush XL promotion ends to scratch off all of your cards; any unscratched cards are forfeited.
While you’re dueling it out on PartyPoker this weekend, be sure to check out Sunday’s running of the Monthly Million. The $640 buy-in tournament takes place on the first Sunday of every month and comes with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. Similar to tournaments like the Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed, the PartyPoker Monthly Million routinely sees an overlay, which means that the actual prize pool falls short of the guarantee.
If the $640 buy-in is grossly out of your budget, qualifiers start for as low as $1. PartyPoker has an elaborate qualifying scheme in place and free entries are also available.
