If you’re not from the United States and you own a Mac, then PartyPoker should be at the top of your poker radar. The world’s fourth largest online poker site and innovator of the Mac-friendly Instant Play option is rolling out the Five Star Poker Challenge in December. It’s possibly the simplest promotion we’ve ever seen from PartyPoker, which placates to low-stakes grinders looking to get the biggest possible bang for their buck.
All you have to do is rack up five Party Points on any day during the month. That’s it. Just get five Party Points and you’ll automatically qualify for a $5,000 freeroll the next day. There are 31 freebies scheduled in total and you can qualify for every single one of them if you so choose.
Text found on PartyPoker’s website details that there’s even more on the line during the Five Star Poker Challenge: “But that’s just the start of the Five Star Poker Challenge. Qualify for five daily $5,000 freerolls and we’ll give you a seat at a very special $50,000 finale on January 2nd, where we’ll put up a fantastic $50,000 prize pool.” The days that you qualify on don’t have to be consecutive; just win your way into five $5,000 freerolls and you’ll score a seat into the $50,000 extravaganza.
If you take down two $5,000 freerolls, then a $5,000 cash bonus will be waiting for you. If you take down three $5,000 freerolls, then your loot will be upped to $50,000. Finally, any member of PartyPoker who manages to win five daily $5,000 freerolls during the Five Star Poker Challenge will land $500,000 in cash. It’s important to note that only one cash bonus of each size will be available; they’ll be given to the first person to claim it.
Also running on PartyPoker in December is the VIP Gift Accumulator promotion. It’s only open to VIP members of PartyPoker and offers up six prizes for players who pass certain points milestones between December 1st and 14th. For racking up 1,500 points, you’ll get a $50 cash bonus. If you can rack up 3,000 points, then a $100 cash bonus will be coming your way. If you can amass 6,000 points, then you’ll be the recipient of an iPod Touch.
Notching 12,000 Party Points between December 1st and 14th means you’ll get $700 in cash, while accruing 20,000 points will result in a hip new iPad. Finally, any PartyPoker player who can successfully obtain 30,000 points during the two-week period will receive a $5,000 World Poker Tour (WPT) entry. You must opt into the VIP Gift Accumulator promotion in order to participate. As an added bonus, all gifts are cumulative, so a big payday could be in store.
Text found on PartyPoker’s website explains another facet of the VIP Gift Accumulator promotion: “Every time you hit a prize level, we’ll award you with tickets for the VIP Gift Accumulator prize draw where you can win a share of $10,000. The more prizes you earn, the more entries you’ll get into the draw, giving you a better chance of winning the $5,000 first prize, the $3,000 second prize, or the $2,000 third prize.” The drawing will be held on December 17th.
Finally, this weekend marks the December running of the PartyPoker Monthly Million. The $640 buy-in $1 million guaranteed event takes place on the first Sunday of every month. As a bonus for players, it often sports an overlay, which means that the actual prize pool falls short of the guarantee.
