PlayerGPS Revamps Site and Introduces New Sponsored Pros

Online poker players share many loves within the industry.  For starters, they love to watch the top internet pros duel it out when they are playing in high-stakes games.  Second, they love to find fish when they log in to play a session to maximize their winning potential.  Finally, they like to avoid sharks, who are just too tough to beat.  The good news is that there is a site that assists with fulfilling the requirements for all three of those needs, PlayerGPS.com.  It is fully compatible with Safari or Firefox on Mac OS X.

The first thing you’ll want to know about the site is that there’s a free trial.  Simply register through the link on the homepage and fill out the quick form.  You’ll be given a trial account that includes 10 free SMS text message alerts.  After the free trial has expired, the cost for the site works on a subscription basis that includes the Grinder level ($14.99 per month), Shark level ($24.99 per month), and Balla’ level ($49.99 per month).

The Grinder level scans games from $0.50-$1 to $1-$2, the Shark level scans $0.50-$1 to $3-$6 games, and the Balla’ level scans through all games starting at $0.50-$1.  The games covered in the site scans include Omaha, Stud, Mixed Games, and, of course, all forms of Texas Hold’em.  The sites that are monitored include PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, UB.com, Absolute Poker, PartyPoker, and the iPoker Network.  Coming soon is support for Everest Poker, 888.com, the Cake Poker Network, and more.

The site’s main function is to notify players as to the status of players in their Alert List within the site.  You can put in the screen name of any of your favorite players, pros, enemies, friends, fish, or sharks and categorize them as you please.  Once you’ve logged in, you can set customized alerts for each player in your list.  For example, if you wanted to receive a text message on your cell phone anytime Phil Ivey logs in, you can set that up.  The site can notify you via text message, e-mail, or instant messenger (Windows Messenger, Skype, and AOL IM supported).  Any one or combination of all three can be set for any individual on your Alert List and you can have an unlimited number of people within your list.

The site went through a beta test in 2009 and is now 100% up and running for the start of the new year.  The free trial program is without obligation, so if you haven’t seen the revamped look, it’s a great time to try the service out.

In recent weeks, PlayerGPS has revamped its list of pros, which are high-profile poker players who endorse the site.  The full list of pros who are affiliated with PlayerGPS include Annette “Annette_15” Obrestad, Andrew “good2cu” Robl, Alex “AJKHoosier1” Kamberis, Antonio “The Magician” Esfandiari, Brian “tsarrast” Rast. Alec “traheho” Torelli, and Keith Gipson.

PlayerGPS.com is 100% legal and has been approved by all online poker rooms.  In accordance with PokerStars’ policy, you are able to remove yourself from its search if you fill out a form on the site.  PlayerGPS tracks cash games and, in future months, plans to implement tournament and sit and go support.  All subscribers receive 125 free SMS alerts per month with more allocated based on your level of subscription to the site.  Each subscription level comes with unlimited e-mail and instant message notifications for all players in your Alert List.
