The newest PokerStars promotion celebrates the 40 billionth hand played on the popular site. Dubbed the “F40 Celebration,” PokerStars will be awarding cash game, tournament, and sit and go players alike for their patronage. On February 21st, the promotion will have a special edition of the Sunday Million with a whopping $4 million guarantee.
Leading up to the 40 billionth milestone, PokerStars will be rewarding players starting with hand number 39,601,000,000. Players dealt into every millionth hand will earn a cash prize based on the number of VIP Player Points (VPPs) they have earned at that table. PokerStars will award 400 of these milestone hands during the F40 celebration and estimates that it is going to give away more than $1 million.
The F40 milestone hands will award cash prizes in the days leading up to the 40 billionth hand. Players dealt into each millionth hand will win $40 for every VPP they earned in the previous 40 hands played on that specific table. PokerStars will award an extra VPP to all players dealt in, guaranteeing that everyone will win at least $40. The winner of the milestone hand will get a bonus, with their cash prize automatically doubled.
When the 40 billionth hand is dealt, all players in the hand will be rewarded with $400 for every VPP earned in the previous 40 hands at that same table. The winner of the 40 billionth hand will also have their prize money doubled.
The cash tables are not the only ones to get some love for the F40 celebration at PokerStars. The F40 Sunday Million will have its prize pool boosted all the way to a shocking $4 million on February 21st. This represents the richest Sunday Million tournament in the history of PokerStars and includes at least $1 million for first place. The buy-in for this special edition of the Sunday Million remains the same at $215.
For those of you with more modest bankrolls, there’s a special F40 event on Sunday, February 14th. The buy-in for this event is $40, with a guaranteed prize pool set at $1 million. There’s even more for tournament players during this promotion in the form of 40 FPP $40,000 Specials. These tournaments have buy-ins of only 40 FPPs and prize pools of $40,000. Start times for these tournaments will alternate between 13:40 ET and 21:40 ET each day. To register for any of the F40 tournaments, go into the PokerStars lobby, click on “Tourney,” and then pick “Special” from the menu.
Sit and go players will also have something to enjoy with the F40 promotion. There will be a series of special 40-man Super Sit and Gos running around the clock starting on February 14th and ending on the 21st. These sit and gos will have tiered buy-ins of $1.10, $11, $22, and $55. The winner of every tournament gets a piece of $40,000, which is shared among all winners at each buy-in level. All F40 Sit and Gos will be in the lobby under “Sit and Gos” and then “All.”
Finally, the VIP Club is getting into the F40 act. During the entire time the F40 promotion is running, players can buy a $40 cash credit for just 2,500 FPPs regardless of their VIP level. Only one cash credit will be available per player. Normally, the $50 VIP Club bonus costs 5,000 FPPs, so this $40 cash credit represents a great value.
