PokerStars Offering Home Games Reload Bonus

Running low on funds at PokerStars? The Mac-friendly site is offering up to 150 reasons to reload until March 20th. The USA-friendly online poker site, which is also the largest in the world, is running a special 25% up to $150 reload bonus that can only be claimed by using the code HOMEGAMES. That’s pretty easy to remember, right? In addition to the extra cash, you’ll get a $5.50 Home Games tournament ticket.

The offer is good until 23:59 ET on March 20th, so you have about a week to take advantage of it. PokerStars offers a fully downloadable Mac client, meaning that you can come armed to the tables with all of the bells and whistles of your Windows counterparts. We’ve used the software quite a bit and love it. The site’s regular first-time deposit bonus is 100% up to $600, so if you don’t have an account, sign up through MacPoker.com.

Text found on PokerStars’ website explains what Home Games are in case you’re totally unfamiliar with the concept: “Imagine having your own online poker club, for just you and your friends, where you can arrange your own private poker games whenever you want! It’s called Home Games. It’s free to use. And it’s really easy to set up.” What’s not to like?

Setting up your very own club is simple. Just open the PokerStars client and locate a red tab in the lobby labeled “Home Games.” Click it and then look for “Create a Poker Club.” Create a name and password for your new league and then invite your friends, family, and anyone else you can think of to participate. Don’t worry. You’ll have the ability to accept or decline memberships to the league. If you’re running low on players, it’s easy to share your league’s details using social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.

You can select which ring games and tournaments to run in your Home Game and poplar poker genres like Hold’em, Stud, and Omaha are available. Your club’s name will even appear on the virtual tables – try doing that in your live game!

You can keep track of how members of your league are faring through special leaderboards that you can sort by number of points, number of games, and average points per game. Other stats displayed include the number of in the money finishes and the number of knockouts. League seasons can stretch for one, three, or 12 months.

Each PokerStars player can create up to three Home Games and join up to 10. The best part is that league members can actually play on the same IP address at the same table, which normally wouldn’t be permitted. Text found on PokerStars’ website explains, “The members of a poker club can sit at the same table, even if they are on the same IP address or at the same location. This allows club members to get together at the same place to play an online Home Game.”

Home Games were introduced earlier this year and compliment PokerStars’ already bustling cash game and tournament scene. According to PokerScout.com, PokerStars is the top dog in terms of the number of real money ring game players, boasting a seven-day running average of 30,800, nearly double the tally of its next closest competitor, Full Tilt Poker. On the tournament side, PokerStars offers the richest weekly event in the industry, the Sunday Million, which is fresh off celebrating its fifth anniversary.

Download PokerStars today. And if you reload, remember to use the code HOMEGAMES before the end of the day on March 20th.
