Apple Releases Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Security Update

Apple released a new update for Mac OS X on Wednesday that is recommended for all users running the operating system.  There are general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility, and security of a Mac.  The specific fixes revolve around reliability issues when joining AirPort networks, an issue about displaying monitor resolutions in System Preferences, and a bug that affects Bluetooth reliability.

PokerStars Introduces New Features, New $600 Deposit Bonus, and New $300 Reload Bonus

PokerStars has rolled out new features with a recent update that include support for synchronized breaks (yet to be implemented), a Hold’em/Omaha Mixed Game, and improvements to extended registration.  The poker room also added smaller stakes private tournaments so players can create their own $1.10 and $3.30 level sit and gos.

To commemorate the software update and the upcoming World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) tournament series, PokerStars has changed its first-time deposit bonus.  Originally, it was an industry-worst $50 match, but now the first-time deposit bonus is a very impressive 100% up to $600.  For current players, there is a 50% reload deposit bonus up to $600 (for an effective bonus of $300) and players can deposit in three chunks in order to fill it.
